Fashion Week - The Best of Friday's Runway Shows

"WOW!" Is all I can say from yesterdays runway!  For some reason I think the theme was sexy and all the designers got the memo!  I couldn't believe how sexy these designs were and how fabulous they all were as well!  I have nothing negative to say about any of the runway shows and while I missed most of the live walks due to some late doctors {jerks!}, I was able to catch up when I got home!

Czar by Cesar Galindo, the Project Runway designers, Carmen Marc Valvo, Rebecca Minkoff, and Nicole Miller were all standouts of the day! I especially loved how Rebecca Minkoff (I knew I loved her for a reason) incorporated jeans in to her designs!  So Fabulous!

The best of Czar by Cesar Galindo

Cesar Galindo's deep v-cut designs were spectacular! I was so impressed with the use of different textures and colors! The line was gorgeous!

The Best of Project Runway Fall 2013

The Project Runway designers nailed it as well! Sexy pant suits & sheer dresses uttered sex appeal!

The Best of Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2013

Perhaps the sexiest runway show was Carmen Marc Valvo's collection! The sheer blouses and tight pencil skirts were amazing and the floor length gowns were elegant and sexy! Fab!

The Best of Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2013

Here Rebecca Minkoff offered sexy in a casual way and it worked! I love the jeans ensemble with of course the fabulous bag, but also the vintage styling of her dresses were great too! Brava!

The Best of Nicole Miller Fall 2013

What I love most about the fiery red head that is Nicole Miller is how rocker-esque her collections are. She manages to give that rocker look a sexy spin that makes the models look so fierce! I would wear any of these on any given day!

That's all I have for you all today! What was your favorite runway show from yesterday?

ALSO REMINDER! TONIGHT THE GIVEAWAY ENDS!!! IF YOU HAVEN'T ENTERED DO IT NOW!!! Win 2 Stila Palettes!

High Five for Friday

PhotobucketEvery Friday I thank my lord for getting through another week of work and the other little blessings I had throughout the week.  Each Friday I see Lauren's {From My Grey Desk} High Five for Friday post and think "how awesome!" and "I really want to do that too!"  Then I thought, I already post a theme for Friday and that it's impossible.  Then I stopped listening to my brain [sometimes it tells me I can't do things, when I really can...mean brain!] and decided I am going to write two posts every Friday.  So I have decided to link up with Lauren and give you my High Five for Friday pics.

1.  My new kicks showed up on my little doorstep this week!  Had a $50 Groupon (that I purchased for $25!!!) to spend and with all the "working out" I have been doing lately new sneakers were definitely due! These are the Premier ZigFly Special Edition and so far they are pretty awesome!

2.  I found a new favorite breakfast!  Curves my appetite and is so yummy too! I wish they would make more flavors though...the other flavors include nuts...and well, I'm allergic so that is a no go!

3.  Rebecca Minkoff covered Call Me Maybe in probably one of the best YouTube remake videos I have seen...with the exception of the one my 7 y/o and her friend did earlier this week riding in a jeep! ;)  Everyone else is probably so sick of seeing & [hearing] Call Me Maybe but I just can't get enough!

4.  My Cover Girl lipstick in Temptress!  Oh how I have missed thee!  I found it shoved in to my console of my car! For weeks I have been wondering what I did with it!

5.  Dance is done. Done. DONE. At least for a couple of weeks.  Don't get me wrong I love that my daughter has found her passion at the young age of 7 but, at that young age, we moms do it all!  If I had to put makeup on and fix the hair of one more little girl for competitions, recital, and pictures one more time I was going to SCREAM!  A much needed break!  I'll be refreshed by the beginning of next season...thank goodness competitions don't start until January!  Whew!

How was your week? Did you have a lot of little blessings to be grateful for too? I would love to hear about them and I am sure Lauren would want you to linkup too!

P.S. Here's the full YouTube video just in case you missed it!

Fashion Friday - Spring Forward!

Happy Friday Revolutioniers!

I am so happy it's Friday you have no idea! What a jam packed week I had and the weekend is full of more!!  I have so much homework, housework, and just things to do in general and I have no idea how I will get it done!  Perserverance and motivation and I am sure I will achieve great things!  I am sure of it!!

So here in the DMV it has been so beautiful. My eyes haven't been as appreciative as I have been of this gorgeous weather with all the pollen whipping through the air. But nonetheless it is so pretty, yesterday temperatures rose to the 80's. Yeah, the 80's! Isn't that AWESOME!  This beautiful weather reminded me how much I long for the things that come with warmer weather, i.e. beautiful colors!!

This week I decided to put together another fashion template using another tee from LBDM.  In case you weren't aware, I won the blog challenge. That's right I won!! WOOHOO!!  I received my tee that I won from the contest last night and actually dressed it up a bit to wear it to work today.  Here is another tee that I loved from her Spring 2012 collection that I almost dressed up!  Please go pay her a visit! You'll love the simplicity but fun fashion she has on her website.  Oh & here is the blog post where she announced it! AND THE WINNER IS...

Fashion Friday! It is SPRING!

I am so in love with the Rebecca Minkoff outwear and the Marc by Marc Jacobs tote. Ok, Ok, I love pink and black together with some splashes of yellow.  Doesn't this just scream Spring?!

LBDM Spring 2012 X Nicole's Revolution

Good morning Revolutioniers!

As most of you have noticed I have now joined the CapFABB group! What is the CapFABB group you may ask?  Well, it is a group of Capital Area Fashion & Beauty Bloggers.  In other words we are representin' the DMV (District, Maryland, and Virginia).  I just joined last week and am so excited to learn that there are so many wonderful bloggers, artists, and fashion designers here in the DMV.  Who knew right?  Almost everyone thinks we are all business around here!  Well, we are but we do it in style!  It's not only suits and blazers!

I am so excited to be a part of this group too b/c I would have never of known about Little by Darin Michelle.  She posted a message Challenging CapFABBers to take one piece of her Spring 2012 collection and style the pieces.  Well not only did I take on the challenge, but I also became hooked on her designs! I love it!  They are simple and personal!  When you get time you MUST check her pieces out!  It probably helps that she has some pretty good lookin' models wearing them too.

Darin Michelle Home Sweet Home

I chose her "Home Sweet Home" tee for my Springspriation b/c I am from Maryland and b/c I love it so much.  The weather here has been so back and forth lately I decided to create a style that makes me truly think of Spring and travel!

Oh and one last thing Revolutioniers!  I made this using polyvore.com.  If you have never used this before it is AWESOME!  So go check it out!  You can put together all types of items before you buy them!
