What is your favorite reason to be a blogger?

I love how it allows me to be creative & branch out from my everyday life. It has allowed me to take more risks, whether it is attending events where I know no one or trying a new trend that I would never have had the guts to try. I'm an introvert so putting myself out there has been a challenge & has allowed me to grow more than I ever thought it would!

What can we expect from The Yuppie Files in the next coming months?

Lots of outfit posts! Plus I have a couple of trips & DC excursions that I would like to cover. I think its important to highlight your hometown & now that the craziness of the holidays are over, I will have more time to go explore!

Who are your Fashion/Makeup Icons?

I am all about classic style with a few trends sprinkled in, so I love the timelessness of Audrey Hepburn & Grace Kelly. I also love the everyday looks of relatable stars like Reese Witherspoon & Emma Stone, plus stylish bloggers like Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam & Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would you be and why?

I'd live in Paris in a heartbeat. I love everything about that city! The fashion & culture is so inspiring, plus you would never get tired of exploring all the streets. The idea of stopping by a bakery on your way home from work for some fresh bread or spending hours at a cafe just seems like heaven. Plus, I'm a social studies teacher so am in love with the rich history of France.

High Five For Friday!

A lot has been happening over the week and I am thankful for another beautiful week that had gone by.  Although we had to say good-bye to a life lost too soon (Connor you will always been in our hearts) I jumped for joy at the fact that I wasn't called in for jury duty all week!!  Here are some of my other top five moments!

1. See that?? That is a real deer staring at himself.  The windows at my office are reflective.  It was hard to get a good picture without the damn reflection.  So bummed. I swear to you this deer was an off white color! I have never seen anything like it!

2. Miami Vice.  This was a much needed drink after a long day at work.  'Nuff said.

3. My new art work idea.  Shopping in Bed, Bath, & Beyond can give you a TON of inspiration!

4. Do you every just want to say "you might as well give me one of those kid packs too" when you go to a restaurant?  It seems as though I should since I am always taking over my daughters!


5. I have a guest spot on The Yuppie Files blog today.  See what I am currently loving (p.s. it was written a month or so ago so it is slightly outdated, but who cares!) GO SEE ME THERE TOO!!
