Tutorial Tuesday - A Yummy Tutorial!

How about a delicious dessert for this weeks tutorial?!?!  My MIL often makes this as her dessert around the holidays and it is to DIE for!  The most delicious dessert, besides my Nana's homemade fudge and other various desserts she has made for me over the years, and it super easy to make (especially since I have yet be able to make that fudge without ruining it!).

I love this dessert b/c it gives you the crunch of the nuts w/o the actual nuts.  So many desserts call for nuts and it claims to make the desserts so good but seeing as I have a nut allergy it makes those desserts a no go for me.  Anyway let's get started:

1.  Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

2.  Boil 2 cups of water then add Strawberry Jell-O mix (6 oz) and 10 oz. of frozen Strawberries

3.  Set the Jell-O aside to cool slightly (it should be ready by the end of the other 2 layers)

4.  Melt 1/2 cup of butter...in other words a 1 stick!

5.  While the butter is melting take 2 cups of pretzels and crush them....I mean CRUSH them!  This is the fun part!!!

6.  Mix the melted butter, 3 TBSP of sugar*, and the pretzels in a large mixing bowl.  Make sure the pretzels are coated nicely (I don't know what other word to use....so just use your version of "nicely"

7.  Spread the butter/sugar coated pretzels on the bottom of a 9 x 13 glass dish and bake for 7 minutes

8.  While the pretzels are baking, beat 8 oz of soften cream** cheese with 1 cup of sugar* until smooth, then fold in 8 oz of whip cream**

9.  Once the pretzel layer has cooled somewhat (again use your version of "somewhat") spread the whipped cream-cheese layer on top

10.  Spread the Jell-O layer on top and let it finish cooling/setting in your fridge for an hour or two or until firm

And there you have it....Dessert in 10 steps.  I could probably eat the entire pan...but I won't.
